Nairobi Women Now Cheating on Spouse in Pretence of Attending Chamas and Keshas

Nairobi Women Now Cheating on Spouse in Pretence of Attending Chamas and Keshas
The Nairobian has unearthed how some married Nairobi women have illicit relationships. The women routinely and continually cheat on their husbands while using ‘chama meetings’ as a cover. Chamas, popularised in mid-2000s as micro-savings groups, are now believed to be more than 300,000 in Kenya with Sh300 billion in assets, according to Kenya Association of Investment Groups (KAIG). Of the eight women interviewed for this story by The Nairobian, three admitted to have used chama meetings as a ploy to cheat.

Four said they have friends who use chamas as an excuse and one said she has never heard of women using the meetings to cheat on their husbands. Out-of-town meetings Chamas are known for their exclusivity, and are popular with women, especially in Nairobi. New members undergo extensive interviews and must be introduced by an existing member. One of our sources revealed to us that in their chama, once a new member has been thoroughly vetted, she can join the investment group for their monthly excursions outside the city. She said even though they meet every Sunday after church service, the chama usually plans for an out-of-town meeting, where the members will use the opportunity to relax and have some ‘me-time’ away from the pressures and of being a mother and a wife.

“In our group, initially, it was a brilliant idea for career women who were too busy to separate their professional and family life. They didn’t have any social life,” says our source. Were also cheating on us She reveals that it was mid 2012 that a few group members decided to invite their toy boys along for the out-of-town trips. Their chama has 11 members. “The justification was simple. Many of us suspected that our husbands were also cheating on us.
Some of us even had proof, so what’s the point of waiting for a man who is having his desires fulfilled by another woman?” our source posed. ‘Udaku’ from friends She says in the past one year, she has ‘only’ had two regular men who she uses whenever she goes out of town. “I don’t want to keep my mileage high with many men, I would rather use the current one until something happens to separate us,” she says with a coy smile. The shocking fact is that as much as chama actually do help women invest, another source says she always looks forward to the chama meeting days so that: “Nipate udaku kutoka kwa marafiki zangu vile last time kulienda (so I learn of the latest gossip from friends).” She insists that she has never cheated on her husband but she has seen nearly all her friends do it. “I am so faithful to my man, but my friends aren’t,” she says as she sips a soda at the eatery near a petrol station in Donholm. They meet every 10 days, officially from 2pm to 5pm but unofficially from 5pm to 7pm.

“We used to have our meetings in a member’s house in rotation, but some of us weren’t comfortable with the intrusion. So we started meeting at a city restaurant but over time, we moved to another location,” she reveals. Relax with their toy boys The group of 14 meet every Sunday in a spacious entertainment joint where they spend two to three hours discussing development issues. After that, the facility has affordable accommodation where some members retreat to relax with their toy boys before they head home at about seven in the night. Another source, who actually visited our offices for a different interview, says there is a lot of peer pressure in the chamas.

Mpango wa kando “Nearly all the women in my chama lead the same lifestyle, take their children to the same school and buy their clothes from the same shop. Some even go ahead to give the mpango wa kando (secret affairs) a try and get hooked. It is all harmless fun, and no woman can contemplate leaving the husband for a mpango wa kando,” she says. She gives an example of an incident in which one married woman even quit her chama when she realised that most members were using the meetings as an excuse to entertain men. No husband suspicion “She joined the chama but after four months, she asked to withdraw her funds and quietly left. She didn’t give reasons but we all know she was very uncomfortable,” our source said. She justified the chama outings, saying that even men usually have business or road trips with their friends.

“Do you think a woman can be so stupid to accept that some of this business trips aren’t business trips at all? A man goes for a business trip and when you inquire, you realise his best friend has also gone for a business trip, yet he is an engineer and his friend is a doctor,” she said. Although the women interviewed claim their husbands have never had suspicions that chama meetings are also used for sex, most say that they also take precautions.

Why Many Single Women in Nairobi are not Going to Find Husbands ! Reblog

Who is a ratchet lady? This is a lady that can’t buy 50 bob airtime herself. Her boyfriend has to step in whenever her internet bundles go below 2MB. This is a lady that worries about shoes and jewelry more than her academics or career.
A lady that puts a good guy in the friend zone, dates a free roaming guy then goes ahead to complain about being treated like trash. This is a lady that prefers to take the taxi all the time yet she struggles to pay her rent. A lady that makes your mother pray for you every night and Sunday: So that you find a better woman.

I have realized that in our generation, ratchetness is socially transmitted. It’s a belief, a disease. That’s why you find a lady who has spent most of her life in Gatundu or Meru forcing an accent that sounds more Lebanese or Dutch than it does English. You take her for lunch in one of those fish and chips joints in town then she goes, “This place is so crowded, I can’t breathe! It’s so stuffy. There are even no electric fans here. OMG! You normally eat here? Kwani you earn a four-figure salo?” And so on.

She then orders full chicken, makes a few pinches here and there then pulls out her phone to call a success wannabe while you watch. A few days later, after the wannabe has slept with her then disappeared; you find her complaining how men are cruel creatures on Facebook.

Sometimes I wonder what is going on. Have we given up on common decency and self-respect? I can’t judge for sure but I can as well point out. Here are some of the characteristics that ratchet ladies possess:

1. Pretense and fake lifestyles.

I am really not a perfect human being myself but when I have misdemeanors or character imperfections that other people are uncomfortable with, I do my best to change. I don’t settle and say whoever doesn’t like me can go to hell. It’s not about pleasing everyone; it’s about being respectable. You don’t have to try so hard to prove a point. If the things you are doing are worthy of recognition, people will just see. Don’t pretend you are doing well in life when you aren’t.

The other day in a matatu, I sat next to this lady with tons of make-up, a green weave and multi-coloured nails. She had an expensive Samsung tablet which she kept on playing with. Then a call came through. She answered, forgetting that the tablet was on speaker mode. A pissed off lady began yelling at her.” Shiko utanilipa deni yangu ama nitaenda nibebe hizo chipo mwitu zenye mama yako huuza. Unadhani utakua unanitoroka kila time nikikuja kwako Githurai?” Everyone in the matatu chorused a huge laughter, orchestrated by the conductor himself. The embarrassment was devastating

2. Misplaced priorities

Ratchet ladies dislike anything with a positive course. They hate church, class, work, community help programs and such. These ladies would rather get half-naked and drunk than to sit through a meeting or a networking event. They will leave their kids at home by themselves, to follow the latest “baller” somewhere. The club is there go-to destination every single weekend.

These are the same ladies that believe they are models just because they get 100 likes on their Instagram and Facebook pictures. They spend the better part of their days replying messages with, “Awww……thanks, Really? You are so funny! I know…..bla bla.” They believe beauty is everything. Most women legends in history didn’t even have outer beauty, they had inner beauty.

Nikki Lauda, a legendary Formula One driver and one of the most influential people in sporting history once said, “If people are hovering over you all the time, it doesn’t mean you are awesome, it just shows they don’t respect you and fear you enough. It shows you have something they need.” Think about it and you realize it’s true. A groupie wouldn’t hover around Jay Z but she would definitely hover around Gucci Mane or Chief Keef.

Ladies, any man trying to get at you in the club or your inbox is hoping you are too dumb to realize that he just wants to get in those drawers. Ratchet ladies think when men hit on them all the time, it’s a sign that they are goddesses.

3. Weird appearances

These ladies never realize that it’s just a matter of wearing what compliments you and not what you think is trendy or hot right now. We men can judge women by how they dress. By her level of decency, we can tell whether she’s worthy of long term pursuit or short term pursuit. Then there is this hair problem no one is addressing. Women and young girls everywhere choosing to put cheap plastic strands in their hair, wearing ill-fitted wigs and lacefronts in the summer time, and not properly having them applied, it’s all so obvious. Hair professionals everywhere should be pulling these potential clients to the side and recommending some appropriate alternatives to help our sisters look good. I won’t even suggest that ratchet sisters borrow a leaf from Lupita. It would be too cliche.

I always stop and say a silent prayer when voluptuous ladies squeeze into anything that is not physically made to withstand their God-given curves, when skinny ladies wear close to nothing, desperate for attention. Dear ratchet ladies, stuffing your flesh into clothes too small, and letting whatever hangs out… just hang out, makes everyone nauseous. We men love all types of girls, big, small or average. But there’s always a short window of opportunity during which we decide whether a lady is a whore or a queen.

We just hate girls who don’t embrace the fact that they are big or small, too caught up in thinking they can measure up to a few video vixens and not staying in their lane. Being half-naked doesn’t make your fat or bones more appealing, it just makes them more visible. Stop it! Save the nakedness for a self-appreciation photo shoot, your guy or a nude beach, and keep it out the nightclubs and off the bus stops

10 Tips for Kenyan Single Ladies Looking for Husbands in Church

Kenya Dating, Kenya Women Dating in Church, Kenya Single Women

Kenyan dating scene is awash with countless women who have a receding hairline still praying for the perfect man to come their way albeit many guys who are in the next pub cheering their favorite English Premier League Team.

Don’t be quick to call me names, before I clarify that that the notion that a good man can only be found in a church environment is by far too idealistic.

Contrary to what many women in Kenya believe, most of the good men will not be found anywhere near a Church. Again it also depends on one’s definition of what is ‘good’.  If you are looking for a good husband stop restricting yourself to the church environment only!

By my own estimation it would be irrational for any young lady to limit her chances of getting a good husband by only looking for one who sings in the church choir. By nature or Kenyan cultural or social setting there are fewer men who attend church compared women especially those between the aged of 20- 30.  If I was to offer free advice to Kenyan women looking for husbands in church my advice would be in 10 tips:

1.       Stop judging men based on whether they attend church or not
2.       Start appreciating other forms of leisure activities such as sports, culture and fun events (attend as many as possible and build a network of friends)
3.       Drop your low opinion on people who booze
4.       Stop dreaming about Mr. Right and begin appreciating the flowers blooming in your immediate life.
5.       Cut down on the amount of Soap Operas you are taking into your system and invest that time on personality development
6.        Please lose weight if you can, or stay healthy as age progresses.
7.       Talk to your workmates (esp. male) in a friendly and respectful way avoid being a snob( attend parties when invited but let the guest know your stand)
8.        When you meet a good guy, take the lead and make some less obvious suggestions
9.       Avoid thinking too much about Samantha bridal and other wedding shows (this will make you more desperate and jealous)

Keep adding to your list of potential new men who you have met every day.

Kenya Athletes Struggling With Relationships, Dating and Marriage.

Its has been said time and again that money cannot buy happiness. Apparently the more money that Kenyan athletes make the distant they get to their spouses. If the previous article carried on the Standard is anything to go by, money is silently ruining the marriage life of most of athletes.

The following article was adopted from the Standard

The huge athletics dollar payout in races abroad aptly obeys the social maxim: more money more problems.
This precisely paints the picture on the lifestyles that some Kenyan world beating athletes lead after they win
 millions from lucrative competitions.

Although some may have been married before the athletics cash start rolling in,  break-ups stand out as a common norm among most of them. Upon winning millions, women superstars hatch plans to leave their  “poor husbands” and vice versa. These developments play out strangely, often resulting in separations or protracted court battles.
This has been the trend in most athletic families in Kenya.

The twists range from middle distance runners to marathoners whose case files keep gathering dust in court cabinets.
Pamela Jelimo, the 2008 Olympic 800m champion and Golden League jackpot winner of $1 million (Sh86.8 million), set the

ball rolling when she arraigned her lover Peter Kiprotich Murrey in a battle over a Massey Ferguson tractor.

How Al Shabaab Ruined Rachel's Dream Wedding Very Sad Story !

Kenya: In London, a friend was moving fast to get a wedding gown made and shipped to a friend in Kenya waiting to marry a Kenya Defence Forces  platoon commander.

In the trenches of Somalia, the would-be groom, military officer Lieutenant Kevin Webi, was fighting the Al-Shabaab militia with part of his life dominated by his upcoming wedding to a young lawyer, Rachael Masika.

In Western Kenya, Webi’s parents were immersed in wedding plans for their son, not in the least bothered by the soldier’s earlier counsel to them that being a KDF officer, they should be prepared for anything, including getting killed in war.

But the wedding was never to be and the gown from London landed on Rachael’s hands wedding was never to be and the gown from London landed in Rachael’s hands when it had turned into just a piece of cloth, clawing at her heart and opening up layers of painful memories in her mind.

Back at Webi’s home, what the soldier had said as a joke or perhaps in premonition of his death had come to pass. The wedding plans had long turned into funeral arrangements and the body of the brave soldier once garlanded by then President Mwai Kibaki for outstanding performance in training had been interred amid tears.

In a cruel turn of events, Webi’s colleagues, who had been preparing for the military formation at his wedding, where the groom and his bride would walk between ceremonial bayonets gleaming against the sun’s rays, instead turned up to send him off with a 21-gun salute. As they pulled the triggers to fire, the recoil from the gun probably shook their hearts and opened floodgates of memories of the gunfire that chillingly marked their days in the battlefront.

The 10 Important Signs that Indicate He is the Man for You

$
0
0
If you are in a relationship or thinking of getting into one, here are a few of the signs that he is the guy for you. Some seem obvious; others, not so.

1. He Goes Out of His Way for You This alone is one of the biggest signs that he is the guy for you. I know this isn't about feelings, but if you have someone who is willing to put your needs above his (and vice versa), that's a very good sign for the future.

2. You're Not Afraid to Be Vulnerable "When you can find yourself lying helpless in her arms..." It's been a while since I've heard it, but I think this line of a Bryan Adams song says it best. When you're not afraid to let down your guard with someone, when someone makes you feel safe whatever the situation, that's something worth holding onto.

3. You Can See a Future Together "When you can see your unborn children in her eyes...” Yes, more Bryan Adams lyrics. However, they illustrate my point. If you can see a future together, both abstract and concrete, that's a great sign. It does need to be both, or at least have the potential for both.

4. He Sticks with You through The Hard Times (and Vice Versa) Again, paging Doctor Obvious. You need to be able to weather the storms if you're going to be together long-term. However, not everyone has the same definition of the term, “storm”. For instance, I once dated a man who hadn't had anything worse than a breakup happen to him. When my mother died our last year in college, he had no idea how to deal with me. I don't fault him for not knowing, but he didn't even want to try. Apparently I wasn't worth it. Someone who loves you, however, will think you're worth it and be there for you, even if he doesn't know how.

 5. He Encourages You This isn't about being a “yes-man” so much as wanting you to see yourself as positively as he does.
